3 Piece Meal
A Clark University based experimental rock band that mixes elements of progressive rock, jazz fusion, funk and indie, 3 Piece Meal includes three of Clark's most talented musicians playing rock music with a revolutionary motive - to spread important social messages and inspire the masses. The band unites the talents of Asir Arif, the bass player and vocalist from Bangladesh, guitar player Diego Baraona from El Salvador, and percussionist/keyboard player Akiba Davis from Maine. Their progressive music has been described as upbeat, inspirational, groovy and psychedelic. Each member of the group possesses unique capabilities which shine throughout the array of songs they play - from thought provoking lyrics to instrumental solos and odd time signatures. The band Is new, but already receiving recognition for their talents in the local community and beyond. Recent shows have included WCUW community show appearances, charity events, and opening for Olivia Frances at her Evergreen album release show sponsored by College MuSick! They're currently working on their debut album and looking to tour New England in the summer of 2016.
